The First International Scientific and
Practical Conference
INFORMATION AND
OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES
IN SHIPPING
IOTS-2026
The conference aims
The conference aims to consolidate the academic and professional community to present and discuss new results in modern shipping, where navigation, the management of ship energy systems, and shipboard operational processes are considered as an integrated maritime safety framework, while information technologies, automation, and decision support systems serve as key instruments for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of maritime transportation.
Within the conference framework, the following scientific and practical objectives are envisaged:
- to generalize and comparatively analyze contemporary theoretical and applied approaches to navigation, ship operations management, and ship energy systems from the perspective of transport systems safety;
- to discuss methods for formalizing and intelligentizing shipping processes, as well as integrating data into the vessel motion control loop;
- to exchange best practices in implementing information technologies and automation in maritime transport to support real-time operational and managerial decision-making;
- to identify priority research directions for improving maritime transport safety, reducing operational risks, and advancing technologies for managing transport processes;
- to develop an interdisciplinary collaboration environment among higher education institutions, research organizations, industry representatives, and international partners aimed at implementing scientific results;
- to engage early-career researchers in addressing relevant scientific and engineering challenges in maritime safety and in deploying information technologies in maritime transport.
Conference Scientific Sections:
- Navigation, ship energy systems, and ship operations management;
- Shipping technologies and transport systems safety;
- Information technologies and automation in the maritime transport sector;
- Intelligent technologies and decision-support systems in maritime shipping.
