Students have a work practice for four weeks and pre-graduation externship for two weeks at the enterprises of marine transport and at companies of other branches of economy according to recommendation of teachers of Economics and Finance department or at student’s option.The main places of work practice and externship of bachelor degree students of specialty «Economics» are state and private stevedoring enterprises and ports, shipping companies, logistic companies, transport forwarding, agency and crewing firms, travel companies and other enterprises and organizations of maritime industry, commercial banks, investment companies, trading companies and others. Specialists of economic divisions are provided student trainings during work practice. Students participate in educational excursions to ports and other enterprises, in business games, master classes of leading economists of transport enterprises, scientific and practical student's conferences, in work of clubs of economists and financiers at the Economics and Finance department, competitions of scientific student's papers. | Students have pre-graduation (research) externship for four weeks at the main enterprises of marine transport and at companies of other branches of economy according to recommendation of teachers of Economics and Finance department or at student’s option. The main places of externship for master degree students of specialty «Economics» are SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority», state and private stevedoring enterprises and ports, shipping and logistic companies, transport forwarding, agency and crewing firms, travel and cruise companies and other enterprises and organizations of maritime industry. Students participate in master classes of the leading economists of transport enterprises, top managers, meetings with top-line personalities of transport business, scientific and practical Ukrainian and international student's conferences. Students publish scientific articles or thesis at conferences by itself or in co-authorship with teachers. Students can participate in scientific research activity of Economics and Finance department. | Post-graduate students have pedagogic practice for twenty working days. Pedagogic practice forms and develops professional skills of the higher school teacher, allows to take over bases of pedagogical activity and skills of independent teaching work. Content of pedagogic practice is defined by a theme of thesis. Pedagogical practice may be carried out in structural divisions of the Odessa National Maritime University in the following forms: participation of the post-graduate in preparation of a lecture from a subject which corresponds the direction of scientific interests of the post-graduate student; preparation and realization of a seminar on a subject which corresponds the direction of scientific interests of the post-graduate; preparation of cases and materials for practical works, elaboration of situational tasks by the instructions of the research supervisor; participation in a business game for students; participation in verification of course works and reports; other forms of works determined by the research supervisor. Graduate students publish scientific articles and thesis at conferences and other scientific papers, take part in scientific research of the Economics and Finance department. |
