The Faculty of Shipbuilding, Information Technology and Systems Engineering of ONMU is the oldest forge of engineers in the navy. The faculty was established in 1918.
Today, the faculty of shipbuilding, information technology and systems engineering trains specialists of a wide profile with deep specialized knowledge. There are full-time and part-time courses.
A distinctive feature of the curriculum of the faculty specialties is that with their full compliance with state standards, students have the opportunity to gain a large amount of knowledge about the industry, which greatly accelerates their adaptation process in the workplace.
The Faculty of Shipbuilding, Information Technology and Systems Engineering of ONMU is the only place in Ukraine where it is possible to receive in-depth training in the industry of marine surveys and the safety of shipping, in particular, dangerous goods, digital technologies in trade and business, and a system analysis of the infrastructure of maritime transport.
The faculty maintains close ties with enterprises and organizations, which are not only places of employment for graduates, but also bases of practice - classification societies, the Marine Engineering Bureau, the All-Ukrainian Association of Marine Surveyors and Consultants, banks, computer firms, and retail chains. Joint work to improve the training of specialists is carried out with the International Institute of Marine Surveyors, the Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine, and higher educational institutions of Poland, Slovakia, and Portugal.

Welcome to the Faculty of Shipbuilding, Information Technology & Systems Engineering of Odessa National Maritime University!
I am proud and pleased to represent the Faculty of Shipbuilding, Information Technology & Systems Engineering.
The Faculty offers innovatives programs bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science and Engineering. At the Faculty, much attention is paid to the theoretical preparation of students and their acquisition of skills and competencies in application development, presentation of finished products and their implementation. The philosophy of the integration of engineering, business and computer skills will allow and so become their driving force in the creation of innovative applications. Our goal is to provide students with a high-quality education with sufficient practical experience.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship - are cornerstones of engineering training at the Faculty. In addition to this, the Faculty promotes an Interdisciplinary culture of solving practical problems in various fields. The Faculty has a unique structure, that responds to dynamic progress in the field of Engineering, Information Technology and Entrepreneurship . Faculty members have experience in the areas of Transport Infrastructure Design, Data Networking, Big Data, Systems Analysis, Systems Modeling, Image Processing, Information Retrieval and сonducted active research.
My advice to our students:
Always be diligent and hardworking, focus on achieving success in your academic and practical work and make your dreams come true.
Get connected to the current research and tasks in the Departments and try to solve them on the basis of the curriculum.
Set yourself a higher goal and you will be satisfied by getting a decent job , and the faculty is proud of you.
